::Very bad resistance, couldn’t stay for a couple of hours there and had to find another place at the same night I arrived there. The place is terrible, not maintained, nothing is functional or even working probably. Avoid it by anyway.

::Have just returned from a great holiday in the Gambia. Unfortunately this property has deteriorated greatly in the past few years. The staff are great but the owner needs to make vast improvements if he wishes to retain and attract customers. The facilities do not really warrant even one star! The owner refuses to listen to any criticism and is probably the most arrogant Gambian we have ever known. He has already lost business because of his attitude and the state of the facilities. Whilst there, one couple arrived late in the evening only to leave at sunrise....perhaps it was because of the lack of electricity etc. Sad to say it will be our last visit to this property as Mr Gaye the owner is the cause of the downturn in this once thriving business.

::*****THE** AMITYVILLE** HORROR** HOTEL***** ****BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID**** **IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY GO AHEAD DO WHAT I DID.** ***I AM WARNING PEOPLE STAY AWAY & I MEAN STAY AWAY*** **I ARRIVED TO THE GAMBIA VERSION OF THE AMITYVILLE HORROR HOTEL ON 23RD DECEMBER 2014 AFTER BEING DELAYED FOR 4 HOURS I ARRIVED THE STAFF DID NOT EVEN REALLY KNOW WHO I WAS AFTER BOOKING WEEKS IN ADVANCE.** **I HAD BOOKED 1 BED WITH SEA VIEW AND WAS SHOWN A GROUND ROOM WITH NO VIEW THE ROOM ITSELF WAS FALLING APART THE KITCHEN WAS DIRTY AND FALLING APART THE SHOWER WAS NOT EVEN ATTACHED TO THE WALL THERE WAS NOT EVEN A TOILET SEAT.*** **THEY THEN SHOWED ME TO AMITYVILLE ROOM 2 THIS WAS ON THE GROUND FLOOR WITH A 2 METRE SATELLITE DISH SAT BOLTED TO THE GROUND ON THE BACK BALCONY.** **YET AGAIN THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEAN THERE WAS ROTTING FOOD IN THE FRIDGE AND CUPBOARDS NO TV AND THE KITCHEN FALLING APART.** **THE SWIMMING POOL LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD BEEN DIPPING THE LOCAL SHEEP IN IT** **BECAUSE OF THE FLIGHT DELAY MY PHONE WAS FLAT OTHERWISE I WOULD BE POSTING PHOTOS OF AMITYVILLE HORROR HOTEL** **I HAVE STAYED IN GAMBIA LOADS OF TIMES AND EVEN STAYED IN THE PALMA RIMA HOTEL & THAT'S BASIC BUT CLEAN AND GREAT STAFF** **I EVEN HAD MY GAMBIAN FRIEND WITH ME & HE WAS GOING MAD AT THE STAFF AND MANAGER AND JUST INSISTED WE LEAVE AS IT WAS JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE AS HE HAS RAN AND WORKED IN MANY HOTELS IN GAMBIA.** **I LOST MY ALL MY MONEY AS THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY & ENDED UP SPENDING £700 QUID IN ONE OF THE BEST APARTMENTS I HAVE EVERY STAYED IN THE SUMMER GROVE** **SO AS I HAVE SAID A FEW TIMES STAY AWAY FROM THE AMITYVILLE HORROR HOTEL**
